Series Synopsis:
NICK CASTLE is a handsome writer who seems to have everything - fame, fans, and females, but he’s grown weary of it all. When a real-world copycat murderer starts staging murder scenes from Nick’s novels, NYPD Detective BECKETT asks him for his help on the case.
Nick’s freewheeler detective style clashes with Beckett’s conservative approach and the sparks begin to fly – leading them both to danger and a hint of romance. Now that Nick feels the old blood pumping through his veins again, he wonders: is it the thrill of the chase…or the fact that Beckett is a strikingly beautiful woman?

Season Synopsis :
When viewers first met Richard Castle -- a famous mystery novelist and divorced father raising his teenage daughter, while being kept grounded by his Broadway diva mother -- he was creatively blocked. But when the NYPD questioned him in connection with a series of murders staged to imitate crime scenes from his books, Castle found inspiration in NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, a bright and aggressive homicide detective with a fascination for odd and offbeat cases stemming from the years-old unsolved murder of her own mother. Though they instantly clashed, sparks of another sort began to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance as Castle stepped in to help find the copycat killer. Once that initial case was solved, Castle and Beckett continued to investigate strange homicides in New York, combining Castle's writer's intuition and Beckett's creative detective work. With Beckett as his muse, Castle used his newfound experience in the field as fodder for his latest novel and bestseller, Heat Wave.
During this past season, Castle and Beckett's relationship has grown stronger as they've dodged bullets, captured killers, and solved countless murder cases in their unorthodox partnership. But by the Season Two finale, Beckett's new relationship with a robbery detective has pushed Castle away, forcing them both to confront their feelings for one another. When Castle leaves to finish writing his second Nikki Heat novel, Naked Heat, Beckett has to watch him walk away, unable to express her true feelings and unsure whether he will return to the precinct.
