BIOGRAPHY

Carlos Bernard was named one of People’s 50 Most Beautiful People. Born and raised in Chicago, Bernard has developed into an actor with an edge and a sophisticated style. As an undergraduate he attended Illinois State, and later went on to receive his Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.
 
A regular on the hit series 24, Bernard has played a wide variety of engaging characters in film, television and theater. His film credits include The Colonel’s Last Flight, Vegas: City of Dreams and The Killing Jar. Bernard has left his mark on many television series, with guest appearances on Walker, Texas Ranger, F/X: The Series, Babylon 5 and Moloney. Bernard can be seen in the miniseries 10.5: Apocalypse, opposite Kim Delaney and Beau Bridges. He was also a regular on the daytime soap, The Young and the Restless.
 
With his varied roles on the big and small screens, Bernard’s first love remains the theater, where he has starred in and directed numerous productions. As an actor he has graced the stage in the Los Angeles production of Blackout, Scenes from an Execution with Frank Langella, and Good with William Hurt. He made his directorial debut with the Los Angeles premiere of David Mamet’s Bobby Gould in Hell, an L.A. Weekly Pick of the Week, and received an L.A. Weekly Theater Nomination for Best Director for The Memorandum.
 
In addition to acting, Bernard is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys golf, basketball, judo and baseball. He is also an accomplished graphics artist. In his free time he enjoys the outdoors, especially fly-fishing.
